On Thursday Big Ten media were asked to make their predictions for who would end up in the Big Ten championship. They were not asked to predict a winner however.

As you can see below it’s a clean sweep for the two teams most would expect. Oregon and Ohio State are the heavy betting favorites and it looks like the Big Ten panel of analysts agree.

Dave Revsine

Oregon & Ohio State

“I guess I’ll go with the obvious answer which is Ohio State and Oregon. I think you just look at those two rosters and they are the two most loaded rosters by far in the Big Ten.”

Adam Breneman

Oregon & Ohio State

“Common prediction, Ohio State and Oregon. I don’t see any way that those two teams won’t duke it out for the title.”

Howard Griffith

Ohio State & Oregon

“It’s hard to go and not pick Ohio State and Oregon at this particular point. When you look at their rosters, you look at what their coaches have done and what they’ve been able to add to the program.”

Yogi Roth

Ohio State & Oregon

“I think it’s going to be a rematch that we’ll see in October. I think there’s a lot of hype around both teams knowing Dan Lanning, Ryan Day, knowing what their staffs are about. There’s substance in all that.”

Gerry Dinardo

Ohio State & Oregon

“Well you know I’m going to go with what I think most people pick, I think it’s Ohio State. Great talent. Quarterbacks a situation but I think Ryan Day is going to get that resolved. And then if Oregon can adjust to the style of play in the Big Ten.”
