It was a thrilling late afternoon game for the Ducks on the road Saturday. A very fired up Texas Tech team welcomed the Ducks following a tough week one loss to Wyoming on the road.

Oregon fans meanwhile weren’t sure what to expect. It was a dismantling of Portland State in week one but we knew Tech would be ready. And they were. Tyler Shough played a gritty game against his former team but came up short when it mattered most.

You should know the drill by now. Here are ten stats from the game, presented without any other context. It’s amazing how many of the stats between Oregon and Texas Tech were very close.

145 – Tyler Shough rush yards, led all runners.

63 – Longest punt by Oregon punter Ross James. His two punts averaged 55.5 yards.

3.6 – Oregon’s yards per rush average. (Tech averaged 5.4)

6.3 – Average gains per play on offense for both teams.

8 – Jeff Bassa led Oregon with 8 solo tackles. (9 total)

14 – Number of Oregon penalties. (Tech had 6)

3/3 – Camden Lewis FG attempts.

4 – Number of turnovers forced by the Oregon defense. (3 INT, 2 FUM (1 fumble not recovered)
