CBSSports' Jerry Palm Predicts Oregon's Bowl Fate
As we move towards the upcoming college football season, it’s time for preseason rankings and predictions. One of those yearly updates includes CBSSports’ bracketologist Jerry Palm making bowl game predictions.
Oregon is expected to compete in the final season of the Pac-12. But it’s a loaded conference and that’s reflected in the bowl game predictions from Palm.
Last year Oregon faced North Carolina in the Holiday bowl in a thrilling 28-27 win. This year it appears Oregon will face a different opponent in a different bowl, according to Palm.
The Ducks are projected to play in the Las Vegas bowl on December 23 against Purdue. This bowl game pits a Pac-12 team against a Big-10 team. I happen to believe most Duck fans would consider this a bit of a letdown on the season for Oregon with current expectations.
Palm has Georgia and Ohio State in the Sugar bowl. His other playoff finalists are Alabama and Michigan in the Rose bowl.
