Commitment Day: Four-Star DB Caleb Presley
Duck fans are really hoping for some good news on the recruiting trail. Not that they’ve experienced bad news. But perhaps just not as much good news as expected.
But it’s a new day and one of the Ducks top defensive back targets is set to announce later.
Rainier Beach (Wash.) defensive back Caleb Presley is set to announce Tuesday evening. The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder is the nation’s No. 83 ranked player per the On3 Consensus Rankings. Presley is also the No. 8 cornerback in the country.

His announcement will air live on CBS Sports HQ this evening.
The four-star will decide among a final six of: Oregon, Alabama, UCLA, Michigan State, Texas A&M and Washington.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Oregon as the favorite at 96.8%. That percentage is largely dictated due to my pick for the Ducks back in March and the frequency of visits to Eugene.
On3 Scouting Summary
Two-way player that possesses natural ball skills at receiver and corner, while projecting on defense long-term. Smooth mover that has the ability to stick his foot in the ground and break on the ball with ease. Technical corner that has fluid movement skills. Looks comfortable and patient in coverage and does not play out of control. Has good length, with a 6-foot-4 wing-span at around 6-feet in height. Long speed appears strong but not elite. Ran an electronically-timed 4.62 40 in 2020 as a freshman. Shows more twitch and wiggle than long speed as a return man for kickoff and punt. Need to see him add some mass to a leaner athletic frame in order to reach his max potential at the next level.
