Dan Lanning: "It's a great challenge."
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning met with media on Wednesday following Oregon’s last open practice period. He was asked quite a few questions about the offensive line and the rotation moving forward in the absence of Marcus Harper.
Additionally he talked about his upcoming Maryland opponent and the return of Gary Bryant Jr.
Here are his top comments below and the video included.
Opening Statement:
“Plenty of details to clean up after today. Great energy and enthusiasm but the details matter.”
On the Offensive Line Rotation:
“Compete right? We’re trying to figure out who gives us the best opportunity on the field. We have multiple guys that can go out there and play winning football. Who’s playing the best.
On Rotating OL vs Sticking with starters:
“I’m going to play who gives us the best opportunity to win. If that’s a rotation then it might. I don’t know what that will look like.”

On Maryland’s Pass Game:
“It’s a great challenge for our secondary this week. They have tight ends that run like wideouts. It’s a great challenge.”
On Gary Bryant Jr:
“I know he wants to be out there. Right now he looks like he’s in a position to help us.”
On the Defense:
“Just the fact that they play for each other and play together. I think that’s an important trait for a defense.”
