Dan Lanning speaks with the media after Day 11 of Fall Camp

On Wednesday Dan Lanning met with media following practice. He didn’t spend a lot of time with the media and his answers were very brief. Which is not totally uncommon for Lanning.

Noticeably running back Jordan James was absent from Wednesday’s practice. Lanning was quick to shoot down any concerns about his long-term availability.

Here are his top quotes from the session along with the video below.

Opening Statement:

“Really good day I thought we finished practice off with a long-drive period. Where you have to have an extended drive and play multiple plays in a row and still be able to execute. Anxious to see the film to see what that looks like.”

On Leadership:

“I think that shows up. I think our leadership shows up. I think those guys understand what it takes to be great. When your best players want to work the hardest, that’s when you have a chance.”

On O-Line Rotation:

“What our best group is. What line goes out there and performs the best and efficiently.”

On Jordan James Injury:

“Yeah just precautionary today. he’s had a lot of wear and tear and we felt like this was a good day to pull him out.

On My’Keil Gardner Injury:

“My’keil’s probably going to be down for a while. He’s going to be down for a little bit.”

Jhop’s Take:

How do you say any less here? (LOL) As expected Dan Lanning has gotten tighter and tighter with the season rapidly approaching. As expected we didn’t hear much when asked about the offense, defense, growth or the offensive line rotation moving forward. Oregon has sustained a few injuries, as have all programs, but so far the Ducks remain relatively healthy overall.

Can August 31 get here any quicker? Just a few more days until we’re all back in Autzen.
