Decision Day: Four-Star LB Brayden Platt
It’s been a bit of a dry spell for the Ducks on the recruiting trail. Which in today’s recruiting is relatively expected. Oregon, like other top programs, filled up early in the Spring and Summer. Additionally the remaining uncommitted recruits have shifted focus to senior seasons over recruiting currently.
But Monday afternoon/evening one of Oregon’s top recruiting targets will make his college choice.
Yelm (Wash.) linebacker Brayden Platt is set to come off the board Monday at 5:30 PM PST. His commitment will air live on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
The 6-foot-1, 240-pounder is the No. 205 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. Platt is the No. 19 ranked linebacker and the No. 5 ranked player from the state of Washington.
The four-star is down to Oregon and Oklahoma ahead of his decision. Currently the On3 RPM heavily favors Oregon at nearly 96% chance to land Platt later today. My pick was posted back on June 22 in favor of the Ducks. Since then, Josh McCuistion, co-publisher of SoonerScoop.com and On3 national recruiting analyst Chad Simmons have joined with Oregon picks along with various 247Sports analysts in August.

Oregon currently has two four-star linebacker commits in the 2024 class in Kamar Mothudi and Dylan Williams.
Last week Platt talked about his upcoming decision with our own Jonathan Charles.
On Oregon:
“Good program, good staff and it’s a family there. The Oregon official visit – it was good, and I hung out with the players and talked ball with the coaches.”
Oregon currently has the No. 13 ranked recruiting class. The 2024 class for Dan Lanning is ranked No. 4 among other Big-10 conference teams prior to Platt’s commitment.
