Dillon Gabriel Named to Multiple Awards as a Finalist
It’s no surprise but as we near the end of the regular season the award lists start trimming the list of finalists.
On Tuesday two prestigious college football awards listed Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel to their list of finalists.
First was the Maxwell football award, given to the national player of the year, honoring Gabriel as a finalist. Also listed was Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter.
Gabriel was also listed as a finalist for the Davey O’Brien award Tuesday morning. He was named along with Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
Oregon plays its regular season finale this weekend by hosting Washington. Gabriel has thrown for over 3,000 yards and has 22 touchdowns against 6 interceptions. Gabriel has also rushed for 6 more touchdowns this season.
