Dillon Gabriel on Illinois: "They're tough. They're physical."
On Tuesday Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel talked about this team heading into the Illinois matchup. Gabriel complimented the Fighting Illini on being a physical, tough team Oregon will face.
The Oregon quarterback also talked about the emergence of Kenyon Sadiq in the absence of Terrance Ferguson. Whom he also talked about and his mindset with the appendix removal.
Here is most of what he said with the video included below.
On Kenyon Sadiq:
“We’ve seen it a bunch. Kenyon’s a talented guy and I think, it’s just when your name is called you can see what they are able to do on the field. Definitely exciting for him. I think he’s something he’s been working for.”
On Illinois:
“They’re tough. They’re physical. They play a tough brand of football. It’s going to be a great matchup. I know a bunch about Luke (Altmyer). Just playing similar styles of play. Similar coaching styles. See a guy who’s done really well for himself.”

On Being No. 1:
“The truth is not caring is how we got up to this point. Not forgetting what got us up to this point. You’re only as good as your last matchup and that’s what we’re focused on.”
On T-Ferg’s Injury:
“It’s tough. I hate it for him because I love him. I’ve seen him put in the work. You see him walking around and you just see a guy who’s so forward-thinking it didn’t effect him mentally. He’s a good dude, he’s my best friend.”
