Dillon Gabriel Selected in Third Round of NFL Draft

Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel has found an NFL home. On Friday, the Cleveland Browns selected the lefty passer with the 94th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Gabriel spent just one season with the Ducks in Eugene after transferring from Oklahoma. He helped lead the Ducks to a 13-1 record and an offense that averaged 34.8 points and 437.4 yards per game.
The quarterback started his college career at the University of Central Florida after signing with the Golden Knights as a 4-star recruit from Mililani High School in Honolulu.
In his lone season at Oregon, Gabriel had a phenomenal year. He threw for 3,857 yards and 30 touchdowns against six interceptions. He also tacked on 149 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 carries.

Gabriel became the second Oregon quarterback in as many years to wind up in New York as one of four finalists for the Heisman Trophy alongside Travis Hunter, Ashton Jeanty and Cam Ward.
He’s the second former Oregon quarterback to be drafted in as many years after fellow Heisman finalist Bo Nix was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
