Dillon Gabriel: "We tried to shoot ourselves in the foot as much as we could."
Late Saturday night Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel spent time with media following Oregon’s win over Boise State. The Ducks had to dig deep after countless mistakes in multiple facets of the game.
Gabriel led Oregon to some big drives and big plays. But the offensive line once again struggled at times during the contest.
Hear from Gabriel about a number of parts of this game, the crowd booing and more. Full video included at the bottom.
On the win:
“We tried to shoot ourselves in the foot as much as we could. That’s obvious. Talk about responding to adversity and seeing the guys come together within a game. I just love how we stayed consistent.”
On facing adversity:
“As a team it’s finding our identity together. You see a guys being more and more connected. You go through adversity like that and you find a way to win. The guys up front I’m proud of them. The mentality. You look at the things you can clean up and how good we could be. Things we have to clean up.”

On the Holden TD:
“They got us early with zero coverage and we were in a formation that helped us get into that call. But just having that within our arsenal.”
On Finding OL Consistency:
“I think we’re getting closer. (To finding consistency) We each took our turns messing up. There’s only so much you can get away with and not put yourselves in that position. Thank goodness for Atticus but you don’t want to leave it up to chance.”
On Crowd booing:
“I hate to say this but it’s kind of FEBU. (**** everybody but us) We dug our own hole and we had to get out of it. I think that’s something to speak about is how we responded.”
