Ducks Land 2026 Defensive Commitment

Saturday night is in full swing and Dan Lanning got some great news. Moments ago the Ducks landed a new commitment from the 2026 recruiting class.
St. John Bosco (Calif.) defensive prospect Dutch Horisk committed to Oregon moments ago. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder is the No. 411 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. Horisk is the No. 28 ranked edge nationally.
The three-star visited Oregon at the end of July for Saturday Night Live. He told ScoopDuck at the time USC and Tennessee were also big schools in his recruitment but “Oregon had set the bar the highest.”

“I absolutely loved the energy and culture at Oregon. It’s un-matched from the way get things rolling. I spent a lot of time with coach Tosh (Lupoi), coach Kam (Kamran Araghi), and coach (Dan) Lanning. I loved it. There’s many things there that can’t be replicated. It’s just different.”
Oregon now has 5 verbal commits in the 2026 class. The Ducks recruiting class is ranked as the No. 1 class in the country per On3.
