Ducks Land Running Back Transfer
Over the weekend Oregon hosted a running back transfer on campus that not many knew much about.
Coming from Northwestern Missouri State to visit was running back Jay Harris. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder rushed for over 100 yards in every game this season. Harris had 14 touchdowns and averaged nearly 6 yards per carry last season.
Harris was named an All-American at the Division II level this year.
Harris is the second transfer Oregon has landed in the 2024 recruiting cycle. The Ducks already have a verbal commitment from quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Dan Lanning remains in pursuit of a number of other key targets on both sides of the ball.

Oregon’s leading rusher from last season Bucky Irving declared for the NFL draft. The Ducks expect to lean on Noah Whittington and Jordan James this upcoming season. However Harris could certainly compliment those two backs and find himself in the rotation this season.
Oregon did see one of its running backs transfer when Dante Dowdell announced he would enter the portal. The Mississippi native spent one season with the Ducks.
