Ducks Lose Wide Receiver Commit
On Tuesday Dan Lanning received some rare news. One of his 2025 commits has backed off his pledge dating back to the end of July.
Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss high school wide receiver Adrian Wilson announced on social media he was decommitting from the Ducks. The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is the No. 129 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 14 ranked wide receiver in the 2025 class.

Here is what Wilson said in a post on his social media about the decision.
“After a lot of thought, consideration and conversations with my loved ones I am making the decision to reopen my recruitment and de-commit from the University of Oregon. I would like to thank the staff at Oregon for all the lessons they have taught me over the time and everything they have done for my family. I would also like to thank the coaches that continued to recruit me during the time I was committed. I would also welcome coaches that aren’t yet or stopped recruiting me to buy stock now. I am looking for a school I can call a home away from home and a staff that is like a true extension of my family and is committed to me. Thank you.”
Oregon now has four commits in the 2025 class and the No. 9 ranked class nationally. The Ducks still have a receiver committed in Dallas Wilson who continues to hear from numerous other programs. Oregon is expected to sign multiple wide receivers in this class.
