Well if the hype wasn’t already enough, the legend of Dakorien Moore grows daily. Earlier CBS Sports produced its list of top 10 wide receivers in college football this season. And the Oregon incoming freshman made the list.

But he wasn’t the only Duck on the list. Returning starter Evan Stewart was also among the top ten receivers nationally.

Of course as you would expect, Jeremiah Smith headlined the list of wide receivers. The Buckeyes superstar is one of the most lethal offensive weapons in all of college football.

Oregon will enter this season with some new pieces on offense and a new quarterback. It will be interesting to see who thrives and how Dante Moore runs this offense. Will he be a little more aggressive with downfield passing than Dillon Gabriel was? He certainly has the weapons out wide to do so.

From the article on Stewart:

2024 numbers: 48 catches, 613 yards, 5 TDs

2025 projection: 69 catches, 1,091 yards, 9 TDs

When you’re as talented as Evan Stewart, much is expected. The former five-star from Texas A&M was one of several options for Heisman finalist Dillon Gabriel, but maybe didn’t have the splash he expected with the Ducks. That changes in 2025 when he’s back to full strength after missing the Big Ten Championship and Oregon’s playoff appearance due to injury. Stewart will assume the WR1 spot for one of the nation’s top offense.

From the article on Moore:

2025 projection: 52 catches, 703 yards, 7 TDs

Considering the impact of the 2024 true freshman class headlined by several five-star receivers, it’s not out of the question that a first-year player from the 2025 cycle makes a huge splash. Dakorien Moore is the No. 8 overall player and top-rated pass-catcher and will be a puzzle-like fit in Will Stein’s offensive scheme at Oregon. And with Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden going to the NFL, there are spots open for an athlete of Moore’s caliber.

Top 10 Wide Receivers:

  2. Ryan Williams – Alabama
  3. Jordyn Tyson – ASU
  4. Evan Stewart – Oregon
  5. Carnell Tate – Ohio State
  6. Antonio Williams – Clemson
  7. Cam Coleman – Auburn
  8. Nic Anderson – LSU
  9. Deion Burks – Oklahoma
  10. Dakorien Moore – Oregon
