As the cornerback board continues to take shape, Oregon finds themselves in position for an elite prospect nationally.

This time Archbishop Horban (Ohio) corner Elbert Hill announces his official visit dates. the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder will visit Oregon on June 13, On3’s Hayes Fawcett reports. Hill is the No. 27 ranked player nationally and No. 4 ranked cornerback.

Hill will also visit LSU on May 30, USC on June 6, Oregon, then Bama on June 20 for his final OV.

Oregon has been a mainstay in his recruitment for quite some time. Lanning and other members of his staff visited Hill in the January evaluation period.

“Having coach Hamp come all the way down to Ohio in the snow, that means a lot to me. Because he also did it during the season, when I had a game in the playoffs,” Hill told ScoopDuck. “It was a very cold, rainy game, and he stayed there the whole time. So him just doing that shows me the type of person he is and how bad he really wants me. So that just makes me more excited every time I get to see Coach Hamp.”

Oregon now has nine verbal commits in the 2026 class. They currently have the No. 2 ranked recruiting class nationally.

The Ducks have one defensive back commit in Eua Gallie (Fla.) safety Xavier Lherisse. It is expected Oregon will pursue and sign multiple players at corner and safety in this cycle.
