It’s a slow period but I really found myself enjoying this ranking. ESPN’s Bill Connelly put together his top 80 list of quarterbacks of the 2000’s. And I must admit, that’s a really tough list to put together.

While I agree with some of his list I find myself saying “how is this guy in the 20’s or 30’s?” But fully understand a list like this had to be really tough to assemble.

As you would expect, Oregon had some quarterbacks make the cut. Including Oregon’s most recent starter, Bo Nix. And one of Oregon’s all-time favorites, Marcus Mariota, making the top ten of his list.

I’ll post his top ten below and include any Oregon quarterbacks in that top 80.

  1. Baker Mayfield
  2. Cam Newton
  3. Vince Young
  4. Tim Tebow
  5. Joe Burrow
  6. DeShaun Watson
  7. Kyler Murray
  8. Lamar Jackson
  9. Marcus Mariota
  10. Robert Griffin III

28. Bo Nix

59. Joey Harrington
