The Ducks are on the board once again in the first round of the NFL draft. After defensive tackle Derrick Harmon was drafted by the (Enter Team), the Ducks now have a second lineman going in the first round.

This time its offensive tackle Josh Conerly hearing his name called. Which becomes a huge win for Oregon and Dan Lanning given Conerly was recruited and developed by the Ducks.

At pick No. 29 Conerly was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the first round Thursday night.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder has anchored the left tackle spot for the Ducks the last few seasons. Conerly has been about as consistent as they come in pass protection and run blocking.

Coming out of high school Conerly delayed making his college commitment past the February deadline. It proved to be good for Oregon as the Ducks had to battle USC and Washington to earn his commitment in the 2022 class. Conerly was the No. 38 ranked player nationally in that 2022 class.
