Five-Star EDGE Elijah Rushing Sets Official Visits

One of the top targets in the 2024 class, regardless of position, has named his five official visits with four dates locked in.
This news comes on the heels of an unofficial visit this weekend.
Salpointe Catholic (Ariz.) EDGE Elijah Rushing has long been a top recruiting target for the Ducks nearly since the day Dan Lanning arrived at Oregon. The Ducks didn’t hesitate starting up early communication with Rushing knowing his recruitment would be an important one in 2024.
The 6-foot-6, 225-pound pass-rush specialist is the nation’s No. 24 ranked player in the On3 Industry Ranking. Rushing is the No. 3 ranked EDGE player in the country.
On Monday evening, he wrapped up a two-day unofficial visit to Oregon, his fourth such visit to Eugene thus far.

Rushing also announced four official visit dates with On3’s Chad Simmons. The dates are as follows:
June 2 – Oregon
June 9 – Notre Dame
June 16 – Arizona
June 23 – Tennessee
The five-star will also visit Washington with no date currently set for that visit. Keep in mind, the official visit rule has changed this year, Rushing could take more than five official visits now.
Here is what Rushing told Simmons about his most recent visit to Oregon this week.
“It’s closer to home and they are a great developmental program, as far as I see it,” Rushing told On3 about the Ducks. “Coach (Dan) Lanning coming from Georgia, he won a national championship and he produced some first round ends. Along with coach (Tosh) Lupoi, he has NFL experience. He coached in that Nick Saban defense for those years that they won all those championships. They both have good resumes and they know a lot about my position. It’s a great thing to hear if you’re an EDGE player.”
