Salpointe Catholic (Ariz.) EDGE Elijah Rushing announced moments ago he has opened up his recruitment. The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder had been committed to Arizona since July 6.

Rushing is a huge loss for the Wildcats. He is currently the No. 31 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 5 EDGE nationally and the top player in the state.
At the time of his commitment, recruiting analysts nationally and regionally felt Oregon was the team to beat. The Ducks made Rushing an immediate priority when Lanning arrived.
Notre Dame and Tennessee were other programs under heavy consideration at the time.
