Five-Star Forward Mookie Cook Set to Announce
It could be a big day for Dana Altman and the Oregon men’s basketball program.
Jefferson (Ore.) standout (via Arizona Compass Prep) five-star forward Mookie Cook will make his college choice on ESPNU. He is scheduled to go live on 3 PM PST, which is halftime of the GEICO Nationals game.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pounder is the No. 6 ranked player in the On3 Consensus Rankings. He is the top-ranked player in the state of Arizona.
Cook would be one of the top signings (when he signs) of the Dana Altman era at Oregon. Oregon also has one of its top-rated signees on the way in Little Rock (Ark.) center Kel’el Ware. Ware currently ranks as the No. 11 recruit in the 2022 class.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Oregon a 94% chance to land Cook. Kentucky and Gonzaga are his other finalists.
Oregon has one commitment in the 2023 class from West Linn (Ore.) guard Jackson Shelstad.
