Former Oregon center Franck Kepnang announces he will transfer to Washington
Former Oregon center Franck Kepnang has announced his next destination — and he is headed to a direct rival.
Kepnang, who entered the transfer portal in March, announced on Wednesday that he has committed to the Washington Huskies.
During his sophomore season with the Ducks, Kepnang averaged 4.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game. He served as Oregon’s backup center to N’Faly Dante and started five games.

Kepnang is one of a handful of Ducks who have opted to depart the program this offseason.
Center Isaac Johnson entered the transfer portal last month and has since committed to Utah State. Guard De’Vion Harmon entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, and guard Eric Williams Jr. entered the transfer portal earlier this month.
On Tuesday, it was also announced that guard Will Richardson and forward Quncy are among the 283 players who have filed as early entry candidates for the NBA Draft.
