With Super Bowl LVII in the books, the XFL season is just around the corner.

The XFL kicks off its 2023 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 18, and finalized its rosters last week. The Oregon football program is well-represented, with five former Ducks featured on the XFL’s official rosters.

Here’s a rundown of which former Oregon standouts have landed on XFL rosters.

OL Cameron Hunt (Arlington Renegades)

A two-year starter at right guard who played for the Ducks from 2013-16, Hunt received the Ed Moshofsky Trophy, given to the team’s outstanding offensive linemen, as a senior in 2016. He went on to play for the Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, and Las Vegas Raiders from 2017-19.

Last season, Hunt was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. On Aug. 8, 2022, he signed with the San Deigo Chargers. But he was waived on Aug. 22.

OL George Moore IV (Arlington renegades)

George Moore IV spent five seasons at Oregon after taking the junior college route to start his career. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers last April following the NFL Draft

Moore IV started 13 of 14 games for the Ducks in 2021, making six starts at left tackle and seven at left guard. The 6-foot-6, 324-pound senior played in seven games without allowing a quarterback pressure.

Throughout his five seasons with the Ducks, Moore IV played in 29 total games.

DB Mykael Wright (Seattle Sea Dragons)

Mykael Wright was a two-year starter for Oregon at cornerback before going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. Soon after, he got a mini-camp invite from the Arizona Cardinals.

A former 4-star recruit, Wright was tabbed by the Athletic as a freshman All-American in 2019 and recorded 21 tackles and two interceptions. He locked down a starting job as a sophomore and recorded 25 tackles during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season. Wright also led the Pac-12 with nine pass breakups.

In 2021, he recorded 46 tackles, one interception, and one forced fumble in 13 games and was an all-conference honorable mention selection

DE Austin Faoliu (Seattle Sea Dragons)

In four seasons with the Ducks, Austin Faoliu played in 36 games and recorded 113 tackles and 11.5 tackles for loss. He also racked up 6.0 career sacks.

He went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft before signing as a UDFA with the Dallas Cowboys. Faoliu was elevated to the Cowboys’ active roster on Sept. 27, 2021, and appeared in one game. But he was waived the following summer.

WR Jaylon Redd (Seattle Sea Dragons)

In five seasons with the Ducks from 2017-21, Jaylon Redd played in 48 games with the Ducks and caught 131 passes for 1,435 yards. That included 16 touchdowns, and he also ran for five career touchdowns.

Redd went undrafted following the 2022 NFL Draft before signing as a UDFA with the Seattle Seahawks.

A starting receiver for the Ducks during his final two collegiate seasons, Redd suffered a season-ending injury in Nov. 2021 that kept him sidelined for Oregon’s last three games.
