Former Oregon quarterback Robby Ashford commits to Auburn

A third former Oregon football player has committed to Auburn.
On Monday, former Duck quarterback Robby Ashford announced his commitment to the Tigers.
Ashford, who did not play a snap for the Ducks in two seasons, transferred away from the Oregon program at the start of January. He was the fourth-string quarterback in 2021 behind Anthony Brown, Ty Thompson, and Jay Butterfield.
The former 4-star signee was a coveted prospect out of high school and was given a chance to compete for the Ducks’ starting job during fall camp. A Hoover, Alabama native, Ashford was the No. 23 quarterback and No. 310 overall player in the On3 class of 2020 rankings.
Ashford is also a talented baseball player who hit .200 as a reserve outfielder for the Ducks in 2021.
