Four-Star EDGE Collins Acheampong Visiting Oregon
One of the top EDGE players out West will be in Eugene this weekend. Fairmont Preparatory Academy (Calif.) EDGE Collins Acheampong will take an unofficial visit to Oregon this weekend.
The 6-foot-8, 230-pounder reported the visit on social media Tuesday morning.
Acheampong is the No. 341 ranked player in the On3 Consensus Rankings for 2023. He has had one of the more interesting recruiting journeys to date.
As you’ll recall, Acheampong came to the states from Ghana and tried football as a freshman. Once Covid hit, the Farimont program was forced to shut down its football program. Which means Acheampong hasn’t played football since he was a freshman but schools have continued to recruit him at a high level.
