The Ducks will square off against Arizona tonight in the desert for their first of two games this season against Pac-12 South programs.

The 6 p.m. PT kick figures to be a good atmosphere, as the Wildcats announced a sell-out earlier this week. Dan Lanning’s program will go for its fifth win in a row, hoping to head into next week’s bye on a high note.

Notable quotes from the week

“Iron sharpens iron. I mean, when you get an opportunity to go against a good player every single day in practice, that usually carries over to the field on game day. So, it’s great that Troy and Christian get to go against each other; we have a lot of battles like that throughout our program. I think that’s what makes us better.” – Dan Lanning on the battles between receiver Troy Franklin and cornerback Christian Gonzalez during practice.

“I think everybody understands, it’s not what we want to do. Everybody wants to protect their teammates and you operate in moments of passion, but there are certain ways you handle situations and certain ways you don’t and that’s one that we don’t want for us. It didn’t help us. There’s no benefit there. So yeah, we absolutely addressed it.” – Dan Lanning on last weekend’s sideline scuffle with Stanford.
