How to watch: Oregon baseball vs. Xavier at Nashville Regional
The Oregon baseball team will begin its NCAA Tournament journey this week at the Nashville Regional.
The Ducks (37-20) will be the No. 2 seed in Nashville, where they will be grouped with the host Vanderbilt Commodores (41-18), who ended the regular season as the No. 6 team in the nation. Xavier is the No. 3 seed in the regional and Eastern Illinois is No. 4.
“Doesn’t matter where you go, every team that gets in is good,” Oregon coach Mark Wasikowski said on Monday. “The team that plays the best going to win it, and we’ve got some familiarity. We also feel as though the people that have been here before, we probably have something in terms of an opportunity to go back to Vanderbilt and play potentially against Vanderbilt. There’s probably a lot of that feeling of excitement from specifically our coaching staff because we were there and lost a tough one to Vanderbilt a few years ago, and we remember that like it was yesterday.”
The Nashville Regional is paired with the Stillwater Regional, where No. 11-seeded Oklahoma State will play host. Oral Roberts, Washington, and Dallas Baptist are also in the region.
The winners of the Nashville Regional and Stillwater Regional will play in a best-of-three super regional that will begin on June 9.
The Ducks will open tournament play against Xavier. The two teams met for a four-game series in Eugene in February and Oregon emerged with a four-game sweep.

Ranking the three hardest, easiest regionals in the 2023 NCAA Tournament
The 2023 NCAA Tournament field has been set, and this weekend the country will be watching the road to the College World Series. The tournament begins with 16 regionals, and some certainly stand out above the rest.
We have had a day to look over the regional matchups across the country, and some have caught everybody’s attention for differing reasons. Some because they appear to be harder fields, and others because they look to be easier.
Ahead of the start of regional play on Friday, we have ranked the three hardest and the three easiest regionals in this year’s NCAA Tournament.
