Year three of the Dan Lanning era in Eugene is just days away as the Oregon Ducks prepare to face the Idaho Vandals in week 1 of the college football season.
The Ducks enter the season ranked No. 3 on the AP Poll. After leading the Ducks to a 12-2 record capped off by a win in Fiesta Bowl the Fiesta Bowl, Lanning has reloaded the Oregon roster. Players like quarterback Dillon Gabriel (Oklahoma), Evan Stewart (Texas A&M), Derrick Harmon (Michigan State) and Jabbar Muhammad (Washington) highlight one of the best transfer portal hauls of any team in college football this offseason.

The Ducks draw Idaho to kick off the year, which went 9-4 a season ago, finishing the regular season with a 6-2 record in the Big Sky. The Vandals will be led by redshirt sophomore quarterback Jack Layne, a Lake Oswego native that won Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Oregon as a senior in 2021.
