Key Quotes
Oregon coach Dan Lanning on the significance of Friday’s game
“This game is our Super Bowl, right? They’re obviously a really talented team,” Lanning said on Saturday. “They’re coached extremely well. I’m anxious to sit here and watch some of their film. I’ve been able to watch some crossover film of what they’ve done this season, but I always feel like Jonathan has those guys playing their best ball at the end of the season, and it’s a tough team. It’s a resilient team. I’m excited to see what our fans do when they show out for this game. This is a big one.”
Lanning on the future of the Oregon vs. Oregon State rivalry
“Yeah, I think games like this are really important. It’d be great if that’s something we could make happen, and continue to make happen. I know the people on our end would love to see that continue.”
Quarterback Bo Nix on his legacy with the Ducks
“I think at the end of the day it’s just about what the coaches and players I played with say. I think that means the most to me than anything, and how I made them feel and what kind of mark I made on them. I think at the end of the day, the playing that kind of takes care of the fans and the outlook of the entire program. What you do on the field obviously has a lot to do with legacy. I just want to make sure I go out there and execute and finish strong.”
