The 2024 season got off to a rocky start for the Oregon Ducks in Week 1, who were able to defeat the Idaho Vandals 24-14 at home. The defense had a dominant showing, forcing two turnovers and bringing down quarterback Jack Layne for four sacks—but the offense looked limited despite Dillon Gabriel throwing for 380 yards (41/49) and a pair of touchdowns in his Duck debut.

Entering Week 2, the Ducks have an opportunity to face a quality opponent in the Boise State Broncos, who won their season opener against Georgia Southern 56-45 on the road in Statesboro, Georgia.

The two haven’t faced off since the 2017 Las Vegas Bowl, which the Broncos won 38-28. Saturday’s matchup will be the fourth time Oregon and Boise State play, with the Ducks having never defeated the Broncos. Dan Lanning and his squad will look to change that narrative this week.
