The Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to the rock slides at Triangle Lake, just west of Eugene, at approximately 2:30 p.m, after receiving the report of an injured person. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 22 year old male now confirmed to be Webb fell and struck his head.
Cam McCormick on Spencer Webb:
Finally, against Ohio State we shared that moment with each other. Two brothers, who had been through it all, happy to see each other doing well. Spencer has grown so much since when he first stepped foot on campus at the UofO. He was a young kid from Sacramento who didn’t know his way. Being a TE, I took Spencer under my wing, and, for a while, we didn’t get along because how different he was and how different we were from each other.
The memorial service will be livestreamed on the Oregon Football YouTube page. You can view that stream here by following this link. It is set to begin at 6 PM PST.
