Jabbar Muhammad: "All the extra time we spend together."
On Tuesday Oregon cornerback Jabbar Muhammad met with media to talk about Maryland. He was also asked about replacing Tez Johnson and how the other receivers are filling that void.
Additionally he was asked about the now infamous ‘thumbs down’ celebration the team was doing at Michigan. He shared how that came about and why the team adopted the celebration.
As usual you can read his top comments below or watch the whole video included at the bottom.
On seeing limited targets:
“I feel like I’ve been playing well. Trying to make the most of the targets that come to me.”
On Secondary being in-sync:
“All the extra time that we spend together. All of us are in our last year. This is probably the most connected secondary I’ve been a part of.”
On Maryland’s WR’s:
“Those guys are really good receivers. They get them the ball a lot. Out of the slot, screens, deep balls, everything like that. We’ve got to be on our P’s and Q’s this week.”
On Maryland’s QB:
“He’s gonna sling it. He likes his guys and trusts his guys. Like I said we’ll get our ops this week.”

On Replacing Tez:
“Those guys are working hard and stepping up. It’s just next man up, we’ve got a lot of talented receivers in that room.”
On Young WR’s:

On the Thumbs down celebration:
“We watched the Gladiator movie this past week, it was the team. It’s just ironic that’s my celebration.”
