While the offseason hasn’t been a particularly busy one for Dana Altman and the Ducks’ staff so far, they have just locked in one of their top players. There was some slight speculation of Jackson Shelstad potentially leaving, but it seemed more like hearsay than from substantial sources.

Now with Shelstad back, Oregon can focus on locking in Kwame Evans Jr for his junior season, and awaiting Nate Bittle’s decision to return or stay in the NBA Draft. Jackson Shelstad averaged 13.7ppg, 2.9rpg, 2.7apg, and 1.0 steals per game this season, while his efficiency rose besides the free throw line. The West Linn, Oregon native started all 35 games he played in this season, averaging 32.9 minutes per game. Jackson’s shooting splits were 45.1 FG%, 37.9 3PT%, and 83.5 FT%. Shelstad made a career-high 66 3-pointers this past season and is certainly capable of knocking down 80+ next season. Oregon will look for him to be more consistent on a game-to-game basis.

With Oregon’s point guard now confirmed to be back, the rotation would look something like the following:

PG: Shelstad / Drew Carter

SG: Jamari Phillips / Dezdrick Lindsay / JJ Frakes

SF: Devon Pryor (Texas) / Oleksandr Kobzystyi

PF: Kwame Evans Jr / Luke Johnson

C: Nate Bittle (If he returns)
