Jadrian Tracey, Jackson Shelstad lead Oregon to road win over Stanford
The Oregon Ducks busted out of a month-long shooting slump on Thursday to capture a much-needed win on the road.
Oregon topped Stanford, 78-65, to improve at Maples Pavillion to improve to 18-8 on the season and 10-5 in Pac-12 play. In the process, the Ducks moved into sole possession of third place in the conference standings following UCLA’s loss to Utah.
With the win, Oregon surged from No. 64 to No. 59 in the NET rankings.
Jadrian Tracey led the way for the Ducks and poured in a season-high 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point range. Tracey also added five rebounds and a block in just 23 minutes.
Jackson Shelstad added 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-6 from downtown. The freshman standout also tallied seven assists and five boards. N’Faly Dante added 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Oregon shot 12-of-25 (48%) from three-point range. That marked the first time the Ducks have shot over 40% from beyond the arc since their Dec. 21 road loss to Utah. It’s the fifth-highest three-point percentage they have recorded in a game this season.
“We shot the ball well. That always helps,” Oregon coach Dana Altman said in a postgame radio interview. “But I thought we did a lot of good things defensively. And on a night (Jermaine Couisnard) didn’t shoot it very well, we had other guys step up.”

Coming into the week, the Cardinal ranked 10th nationally in three-point shooting at 39%. But the Ducks held them to just 8-of-27 (30%).
Oregon also out-rebounded Stanford, 38-31. ,
“The formula’s not difficult to figure out,” Altman said. “We hold people under 70 (points) we win most of the time. We outrebound them, we win most of the time.”
