Oregon defensive players Jeff Bassa and Teitum Tuioti met with media on Wednesday following Oregon’s final open practice. As usual the duo spent a few minutes talking with reporters largely about the Michigan game.

Both talked about Derrick Harmon and his impact on the season and getting ready for Michigan. Here are most of their quotes with videos included for each.

Jeffrey Bassa:

On the Game:

“Hopes are up right now. A lot of the guys weren’t offered from Michigan and haven’t been over there. A lot of guys are excited for this trip and this matchup as well.”

On Playing a Running Team:

“It’s always great. It’s going to be a lot of in the box type of game. That’s always exciting when you play linebacker.”

On RB Kalel Mullings:

“Really explosive guy and their offensive line does a great job.”

On Derrick Harmon:

“Him to unleash havoc. I know him coming from Michigan State and he’s been prepping his tail off all week.”

Teitum Tuioti:

On Derrick Harmon:

“I think that he’s ready to go. He’s ready to go. He’s just a monster. In his own way, he plays within the scheme and he wreaks havoc. Around his people he loves to hang out and make jokes.

On Michigan’s Run Game:

“I mean they love running the ball. This is a big week of trying to stop the run. If we stop the run I think we’ll have success. They run downhill and they’re strong running backs.”
