A new week comes and goes in the college football world. Which means changes up and down for many of the top teams in the country. My No. 5 team from last week, Bama, had to go as the Tide suffered a second loss to a team from the state of Tennessee.

My No. 1 team from last week remains my No. 1 team this week. I had Oregon ahead of Texas prior to the Georgia loss so they remain. I’m a bit of an outlier on a few of my spots compared to the AP but overall most of the same teams are in the top ten.

Here is this weeks top ten. (Last weeks)

  1. Oregon – Guess who had them No. 1 last week? Yep, this guy.
  2. Georgia – Had Georgia No. 4 last week but noted a win over Texas would likely put them here. They won and here they are. Never count out Kirby Smart.
  3. Ohio State – You could argue them at No. 2 and I would agree. These are the three top teams in the country.
  4. Miami – Mario Cristobal has himself a quarterback he’s actually letting throw the ball. Again, they haven’t beat anybody and don’t play anybody.
  5. Texas – More than likely, Texas beats Miami by double digits or more. But for now I have an unbeaten Miami one spot ahead of the Horns coming off the loss. That finale with A&M is really setting up nicely.
  6. Clemson – Probably the best team in the ACC. But we won’t really know until they potentially meet with Miami in the conference championship. Maybe South Carolina makes it a game on Nov. 30?
  7. Tennessee – Down goes Bama once again. Numbers 4-7 are somewhat interchangeable in my mind. They do have Georgia in a few short weeks.
  8. Penn State – My least favorite top ten team. I’ve literally said this for weeks now. Still think Ohio State smokes them by at least two scores in two weeks.
  9. Texas A&M – Good game with LSU on tap this weekend. I think A&M handles business at home. Also has South Carolina and Texas left on the schedule.
  10. BYU/Iowa State – I like them both. But you have to wonder how they stack up with 4-9 on a neutral field. Best shot at beating Penn State maybe? Kudos to both for unbeaten records to date.
