Oregon had one of its starting offensive linemen go down in the Michigan game. Guard Marcus Harper got injured and did not return to action. Filling in for him was Hawaii native Kawika Rogers in that game. And it was no easy task with some NFL talent lined up across from him.
Rogers might be in line to start this week and continue filling that spot for Harper. Here are his comments about getting to play and where he feels most comfortable.

On Getting Thrust into action:
“Just getting thrown into the fire. I was ready for it. I prepare like I’m going to play. Wherever coach needs me is the biggest thing for me.”
On where he’s most comfortable:
“I feel more comfortable at guard just because I have help from the tackle and the center.”
On playing next to Poncho:
“People may not know so me and Poncho have the same birthday. That’s my brother. Playing next to him is a different feeling that I have someone from home there next to me. Poncho really helped me calm my nerves. He just told me you’re good, just breathe.”
