Former Oregon superstar Kayvon Thibodeaux had plenty at stake at the NFL Combine on Saturday.

While his day did not live up to his lofty standards and came to an early end, Thibodeaux delivered some impressive results in the events he participated in.

After measuring in at 6-foot-4, 254 pounds, Thibodeaux put up 27 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press — the most of any defensive end.

He also ran a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, which was the sixth-fastest among defensive ends. Former Michigan star Aidan Hutchinson, who along with Thibodeaux is in the conversation to go in the top-five of April’s Draft, ran a 4.74 in the 40.

According to a report from the NFL Network Broadcast, Thibodeaux opted to end his day early because he wants to participate in both linebacker and defensive end drills. He will wait until Oregon’s April 1 pro day to do so.

“I just talked to Kayvon Thibodeaux,” NFL Network’s Stacey Dale reported. “He just put his sweats on and is done for the day because he told me the (defensive) line is working right now and he wants to both (linebacker and defensive line drills). He’s going to wait for his pro day so he can do linebacker and defensive line drills. He wants to get it all wrapped up in one day.”

Dale later went on to say Thibodeaux was unhappy with his performance Saturday.

“He wasn’t totally pleased with it,” Dale said on air. “He thought it was OK on average for him. He had a good split, he said. Just didn’t finish as well as he wanted to on the back end. So he wasn’t necessarily pleased overall with the day, but again with the D-line working now, he wants to work both linebacker and D-line drills and do it all on his Pro Day.”
