Kayvon Thibodeaux opts out of Alamo Bowl, will enter NFL Draft
Kayvon Thibodeaux has played his last game as an Oregon Duck.
Thibodeaux, Oregon’s star edge rusher and a projected top-five pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, will skip the Dec. 29 Alamo Bowl and begin preparing for the draft, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The news does not come as a surprise after Oregon’s disappointing end to the regular season and Thibodeaux’s injury struggles early in the year. He suffered a sprained ankle in the Ducks’ Week 1 win and was sidelined for the next three games.

Thibodeaux was an All-American for the Ducks last season and is a finalist this season for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which is given annually to the top defensive player in the nation.
Thibodeaux is the highest-ranked recruit to ever sign with Oregon.
In 32 career games for the Ducks, he accumulated 19 sacks, 35.3 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles.
At this time, Thibodeaux is the only known Oregon player who intends to skip the Alamo Bowl.
