Kel'el Ware Sees Big Jump in Latest Basketball Rankings

Dana Altman has put together a pretty strong group for the class of 2022. One of his headliners also saw a nice jump in his ranking Monday morning with On3.
On3 National Basketball Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw provided an update on his latest rankings. And several players saw big jumps.
Oregon signee Kel’el Ware was one of them. The 7-foot, 210-pounder went from No. 17 all the way up to No. 6 nationally. Altman has the No. 7 class nationally and No. 2 class in the Pac-12 for 2022.

Scouting Report: It’s the natural tools that pop. The length is elite. Is quick off the floor with both his first and second jumps. Natural timing as a shot blocker. Needs strength, still raw. Offensively he does have touch; he makes his free throws. Can step out and knock down threes but, at this point, is better in the dunker spots and as a rim-runner. Can drift in and out of games, take some plays off. A willing rebounder relies on being bigger than opponent rather than establishing position. Some will question how tough he is. Not a finished product, there is some growth still to go here, but with patience, there could be a big reward in the end.
Here are the full 2022 basketball rankings following the latest adjustments. Ware is the top-ranked signee for Oregon in the 2022 class.
The Industry Comparison tool shows that both On3 and Rivals have Ware at No. 6 overall. 247Sports and ESPN have him at No. 8 overall.
