Kenyon Sadiq Prepared for 2024 Season

Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq met with media on Tuesday following Oregon’s practice. The electric tight end enters this 2024 season with some hype about his potential.
One noticeable aspect of Tuesday’s practice was the reports of fellow tight end Terrance Ferguson with a big club on his left hand. That injury might give Sadiq a little bigger role in this offense to start the season.
Coincidentally Oregon plays two colleges from the state of Idaho to start the season. The state Kenyon Sadiq came to Oregon from.
On Starting the Season:
“I think it’s going to be fun. Everyone is fired up. It’s good to get out there and hit someone else for once since camp.”

On Playing Two Idaho Schools:
“Playing two back to back Idaho schools is pretty cool. They were still pretty far away from me but I know some guys on each of those teams.”
On Biggest Team Improvement:
“Our focus and next play mentality. When we make a mistake we just move on to the next play.”
On Fitting Into the Offense:
“There’s a lot of mouths to feed. It’s going to be hard to guard us all. That’s going to benefit us a lot. I can move around everywhere.”
Jhop’s Take:
Sadiq does not talk a lot. His answers were sure short and sweet. Hopefully that just means he’ll let his pads do the talking on Saturday. As noted above with T-Ferg down a hand for the moment that might mean the Ducks lean on Sadiq a little more to start the season. I know I’ve said it once before, but don’t feel bad buying into the Sadiq hype especially given this new development.
