Oregon has reached the halfway point of fall camp and still has several ongoing position battles on the defensive side of the ball. The most intriguing of them is arguably at the STAR position. Last season, Bennett Williams was the Ducks' primary option there and was an honorable mention all-conference selection. In 13 games, he racked up a team-high 72 total tackles and grabbed two interceptions before signing with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in April. As head coach Dan Lanning and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi look to fill the void left by Williams, don't expect them to lean on just one player. Throughout fall camp, at least six defensive backs have been repping at STAR.
