Live updates: Dan Lanning's National Signing Day press conference
For the second season in a row, the Oregon Ducks emerged as a big winner on National Signing Day.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Ducks have signed 24 players to their 2024 class — including a pair of four-star receivers who flipped their commitments from other marquee programs. Oregon currently sits at No. 5 in the On3 Industry Ranking and is on pace to secure its highest-rated signing class in program history.
Ducks’ head coach Dan Lanning is set to meet with reporters in Eugene at 3:30 p.m. PT this afternoon.

— Lanning said the 24 players that Oregon signed “fit the values” of the Oregon program
— Lanning on signing the top class in program history: “It shows the staff’s work and the program’s work.”
— Lanning said his staff’s experience on the recruiting trail proved valuable in helping flip a couple of blue-chip recruits on signing day.
— Lanning on what the last 48 hours have been like: “You keep your phone plugged in.”
— Lanning on OL JacQawn McCroy: “I think he’s gonna bring an energy to that room.”
— Lanning said what Troy Franklin and Tez Johnson accomplished this season was “huge” in helping attract receiver talent to Oregon.
— Lanning said Dillon Gresham is “one of his favorite players” in this class. He called Gresham a “hungry player” and “talented player.”
— “Anytime there’s local talent that fits our needs, those are the guys we’re gonna get,” Lanning said of in-state recruiting.

— In regards to OL Trent Ferguson, Lanning said he has “great size” and said his lacrosse film highlights his athleticism.
— Lanning said the Ducks will wrap up bowl game practice this week and give the players a few days off, but coaches will still be “working phones”
— Lanning said Breland and Rushing both “remind me of guys I have coached in the past.”
— Lanning was asked about Luke Moga’s speed and athleticism: “The first thing that stands out when you watch his film is his speed.”
— On Oregon landing three of the top 15 linebackers in the 2024 class, Lanning highlighted the competitiveness of the Ducks’ three LB signees.
