Luke Fickell on Facing Oregon: "They're going to be challenged in different ways."
On Monday Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell met with local media. He was asked very few questions specifically about Oregon coming to town this weekend.
It would appear Fickell did not talk to media last week so this is the first time he has answered questions since the bad loss to Iowa. Last week Wisconsin had a bye.
Here are some of the top questions and responses from today’s conference. Video included at the bottom as well.
On ‘changes’ following bad Iowa loss:
“Oh yeah lots of them. Are we tough enough? Are we physical enough? Those are the changes we need to look in the mirror and address ourself. Nobody likes it. There’s an ownership in it as well. The second half we didn’t show who we are at all.”

On Offensive progression:
“It’s a growth. Continuing to see the progression of what you’re doing. That’s the most important thing. How do we continue to push forward with what we got and see the growth happening.”
On Secondary facing Oregon:
“They’re going to be challenged in different ways. That’s the beauty of college football, you can be challenged in different ways each week. This one will be one maybe that we haven’t seen really the entire year. Obviously the ability of the quarterback to make plays with his legs and in the air.”
On Facing another top-ranked opponent:
“The one thing about a bye week is you can put those things behind you. (bad Iowa loss) So now it’s moving forward and recognizing the challenges in front of you. You continue to remind them this is what you sign up for. That’s kind of the message for us. We know that this is a process.”
