Oregon isn’t new to being heavily involved with Southern California talent, especially at the big schools like Mater Dei and St. John Bosco. The Ducks already have two commits from these two schools in their 2026 recruiting class; Kodi Greene at Mater Dei, and Dutch Horisk and St. John Bosco. Madden Williams is another coveted player out of Southern California which Oregon looks to be pushing for along with several other suitors.

The talented 6’2 Wide Receiver kicked off his slate of upcoming unofficial visits last weekend watching Arizona State beat Wyoming. Williams will then head to Beaver Stadium and Penn State on September 28th, before heading to Tallahassee to watch the Seminoles on October 5th. Oregon will get a visit from Williams the following weekend, October 12th when the Buckeyes are in town. Stanford will receive a visit November 16th, and will stay in-state again the following weekend visiting UCLA.

Williams previously told ScoopDuck that he had a relationship with Ra’Shaad Samples when he was at Arizona State and that relationship has helped Oregon in this recruitment. In the interview with ScoopDuck’s Max Torres, Madden also spoke on how consistent WR coach Junior Adams had been pertaining to his contact. Following his last visit to Eugene, Williams told ScoopDuck Oregon was in his “top two in his recruitment.”

Other Teams involved

Ohio State at the time was top two in Williams’ recruitment as well, and is drawn by their development of wideouts. Other teams heavily involved are Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, and Washington. While some of these schools aren’t scheduled to get unofficial visits at this point, Madden has told Miami’ On3 Affiliate, CaneSport, that he is eyeing a return visit. The 4-star wideout has already visited Ohio State, and Washington previously and will likely return to those schools in the future.
