Marcus Mariota Finds New NFL Home
Former Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota is on the move once again. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Washington Commanders have signed Mariota to a one year deal. The deal is reportedly worth $6 million with upside to $10 million.
Currently Washington has Sam Howell on its roster at quarterback. The Commanders also hold the No. 2 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. It’s widely assumed they will target one of the bevy of first round potential quarterbacks in the upcoming NFL draft.
Last season Mariota was was with the Philadelphia Eagles. He made three game appearances, totaling 15 completions on 23 attempts for 164 passing yards, one touchdown and one interception.

In his NFL career, Mariota has accumulated 15,656 yards, 92 touchdowns, 54 interceptions and a 62.6% completion percentage.
Mariota won a Heisman at Oregon his junior season. He was then selected by the Tennessee Titans as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 draft.
