2025 Goodland (Kan.) tight end Linkon Cure is ready to make his college commitment. Oregon’s top tight end target will announce his decision on July 1, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

Listed at 6’4.5″, 210 pounds, Cure is rated a 5-star (95.86) recruit according to the On3 Industry Rankings. The same system ranks him the No. 27 player nationally, the No. 2 tight end and the No. 2 recruit in Kansas. As a junior in 2023 he caught 42 passes for 946 yards and 14 touchdowns in nine games.

Cure will decide from a top four of Kansas, Kansas State, Oregon and Texas A&M. He took official visits to all each of his finalists during the month of June, with the in-state Wildcats getting the final trip.

The coveted tight end prospect raved to ScoopDuck about his official visit to Oregon earlier this month.

“It was a really good visit. Went through a lot of stuff, had a lot of meetings, did a lot of fun stuff. It was an amazing visit. I absolutely loved my time there. I got to talk to Coach (Drew) Mehringer, Coach (Will) Stein, Coach Lanning a lot and that was really good for me. I think I have all the information I need and just kind of take this last visit and see where I’m at from there, but it was an awesome visit.”

Drew Mehringer and the Ducks have long been focused on Cure as their top tight end target, while also recruiting Derby (Kan.) tight end DaSaahn Brame who is set to announce his college commitment on June 29, as well as El Dorado Hills (Calif.) Oak Ridge tight end Kaleb Edwards.

Kansas State is the overwhelming favorite to land Cure according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at 94.8%. Oregon is second at 1.3%.

Kansas State also holds predictions from Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong among other recruiting analysts.
