Nike Announces Sabrina Ionescu as Newest Signature Athlete
Former Oregon Duck hoops star, now turned WNBA star, Sabrina Ionescu notches another massive accomplishment to her storied career.
Nike announced Thursday morning they have added Sabrina Ionescu to their signature line of athletes. Joining superstars like Jordan, Lebron James Kevin Durant, Tiger Woods and others.
“Nike was my first basketball shoe that I’ve ever played in,” Sabrina told Boardroom. “The first basketball shoe that I put on my foot. They were actually Nike Dunks.”

Boardroom.com described the fit of the new ‘Sabrina 1’ shoe.
“Following pro play in sought-after Kobe colorways and GT Cut player exclusives, Sabrina becomes the newest namesake superstar at the Swoosh and the latest leading lady for the W.”
Ionescu went on to describe her big accomplishment to NiceKicks.com.
“We want to create the basketball shoe, period. Not women’s basketball shoe, not men’s basketball shoe, just basketball shoe.” – Sabrina Ionescu
She described the process to Boardroom.com on how the shoe came together and the time involved.
“It’s taken a long time,” says Sabrina. “There’s years of process and a lot of trial and error on what works and what doesn’t.”

An exact release date has not been provided. The shoes are expected to retail at $125 when released.
