No. 22 Oregon softball closes out regular season in winning fashion
The No. 22 Oregon softball team overcame some midseason difficulties and finished the regular season on a strong note.
Now, the Ducks will await their postseason fate.
Oregon topped No. 24 Stanford, 3-0, in Palo Alto on Sunday to clinch a series win and notch its fifth win in the last six games. After a rocky April that featured seven consecutive losses to ranked opponents, the Ducks appear to have found their stride again and notched two big wins against a strong Cardinal team.
Rachel Cid, Allee Bunker, and Tehya Bird all drove in runs for the Ducks against Stanford starter Alana Vawter, with Bunker’s contribution coming on a solo homer in the fourth inning.
