No. 9 Oregon reveals retro uniforms ahead of showdown with Washington State
The No. 9 Oregon Ducks have revealed their uniforms for this Saturday’s matchup with Washington State at Autzen Stadium.
At long last, they will be debuting their highly-anticipated retro uniforms for the first time this season.
Oregon (5-1, 2-1) is coming off a heartbreaking 36-33 loss at No. 5 Washington in Week 7. This Saturday, Dan Lanning’s Ducks will look to bounce back against Washington State (4-2, 1-2), which suffered a blowout loss to UCLA over the weekend.
“Our guys are hungry to get out there and get to go perform again,” Lanning said after Saturday’s loss at Washington. “And we’re going to be playing a lot of top-25 opponents the rest of the season. It’s a great thing about this schedule that we have. We got tested. I think we’re gonna learn a lot of things about our team throughout this week. I think we have phenomenal leadership on this team. We have guys that aren’t going to quit and they’re gonna come to work and we’re gonna go attack it.”

The Cougars are led by standout senior quarterback Cameron Ward. Thus far this season, Ward ranks 21st nationally with 1,779 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions. Although he has produced a couple of shaky performances over Washington State’s last two games, Ward has proven to be one of the more dynamic quarterbacks in college football in 2023.
“I think he probably has the quickest release of any quarterback that we’ve seen,” Oregon coach Dan Lanning said. “His scrambling ability is bar none. And it’s not just, scrambling; he just does not go down. The guy is really hard to tackle when you do get back there. You’ll see people hanging on him and he shrugs them off and creates an explosive play. But yeah, his running ability and his quick release or two things that really stand out. He throws the deep balls with great touch as well.”
